Hi, this has a tighter tolerance for kill time than the oem shifter, meaning the oem shifter will allow the transmission more time to engage the gear and thus a longer shifting time, these strain gauge shifters have a much shorter kill time and take less of a movement on the shift lever for it to engage. This is only suited for the racetrack. Not for street use
